Pediatric Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)

Job Overview Join our dynamic pediatric therapy team as a Pediatric Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA), where you will play a vital role in delivering speech therapy services to children in natural environment settings (home and daycare). This contract position offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate with licensed Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) while helping children improve their communication skills and reach important developmental milestones. This position requires travel between client locations within the local service area. In this role, you will implement individualized treatment plans developed by the supervising SLP, provide direct therapy services, and support children through engaging, play-based activities. You will also assist with data collection, documentation, and maintaining a positive, supportive environment for children and their families. We are seeking a motivated and compassionate SLPA who is passionate about working with young children and making a meaningful impact in their daily lives. The ideal candidate has reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and the ability to travel between homes and daycare settings throughout the Florence, Darlington, and surrounding Pee Dee areas. • Implement speech therapy interventions as directed by the supervising SLP, targeting articulation, language development, and social communication skills
• Provide direct therapy services using engaging, play-based activities to support speech and language growth
• Prepare therapy materials, set up activities, and organize resources to ensure smooth and effective sessions
• Accurately document session data and complete treatment notes in a timely manner.
• Monitor client progress during sessions and report observations to the supervising SLP for ongoing assessment and plan adjustments
• Travel between client locations within the service area to provide therapy services.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized therapy environment Experience
• Prior experience working with children in educational, daycare, or clinical settings is highly preferred, but not required
• Knowledge of pediatric anatomy, physiology, and basic medical terminology is beneficial
• Experience with early intervention or school-based services is a plus
• Familiarity with

IFSP/IEP

processes and documentation requirements is preferredUnderstanding of speech and language development across early childhood stages.
