Job Description
Bachelor's degree from an ASHA-accredited university, active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license and minimum 1+ years speech-language pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A school-based Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) position is available in Spartanburg, SC, offering a rewarding contract opportunity to support students with speech and language development. This role involves working closely with licensed Speech-Language Pathologists to implement individualized therapy plans and improve students' communication skills in an educational setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in providing speech and language therapy services to students under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist Implement therapy activities and carry out treatment plans designed to improve students' communication abilities Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress and therapy sessions Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to support the students' communication goals Participate in team meetings and contribute to student success initiativesDesired Qualifications:
Current certification or licensure as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) Experience working with children in a school setting is highly preferred Strong understanding of speech and language disorders and therapy techniques Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students and school personnel Ability to follow established treatment plans and adapt therapy techniques as neededLocation:
