Job Description

Bachelor's degree from an ASHA-accredited university, active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license and minimum 1+ years speech-language pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A contract opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in a school setting located in Austin, TX. This role involves supporting licensed speech-language pathologists in delivering speech and language services to students, helping them achieve their communication goals.
Responsibilities include:
Assisting in the implementation of speech therapy plans under the supervision of a licensed speech-language pathologist Providing direct speech therapy services to students as outlined in treatment plans Documenting therapy sessions and maintaining accurate records Collaborating with educators and other school staff to support student progress Participating in team meetings and contributing to student assessments as needed
Desired Qualifications:
Experience working as an SLPA in a school environment Knowledge of speech and language development in children Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to follow treatment plans and work closely with supervising therapists Relevant certification or licensure as required by state regulations
