The organization is expanding its range of services to include Physical and Occupational Therapy, alongside Speech Therapy, to better meet the diverse needs of children and their families. Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist and Assistants to provide comprehensive speech therapy services within a home health setting. This role involves assessing, planning, and implementing individualized treatment plans for pediatric patients, with an emphasis on early intervention and improving communication skills. The position offers an opportunity to work closely with children, their families, and multidisciplinary teams to promote optimal developmental outcomes. Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient assessments to identify speech, language, and communication disorders in pediatric clients. Develop and implement personalized therapy plans tailored to each child's specific needs and developmental stage. Deliver evidence-based speech therapy interventions via in-person sessions or telehealth platforms, ensuring accessibility and continuity of care. Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to educate on strategies that support communication development at home. Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) or Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems in compliance with regulatory standards. Monitor patient safety during therapy sessions, ensuring adherence to health and safety protocols within the home environment. Stay informed about current best practices in pediatrics, physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to speech-language pathology. Requirements Valid licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist with experience working in pediatric settings preferred. Prior school experience or early intervention experience is highly desirable. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with children and individuals with disabilities across diverse backgrounds. Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology pertinent to speech-language pathology. Experience utilizing EMR/EHR systems for documentation and patient management. Telehealth therapy experience or familiarity with telehealth platforms is advantageous. Strong patient care skills combined with excellent communication abilities for engaging children and educating families effectively.
