Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact by supporting students' communication development as a contract Speech-Language Pathology Assistant for a school-based position near Dallas, TX. This opportunity allows you to collaborate with educators and licensed SLPs, providing essential therapeutic support to children in a vibrant educational setting.
Qualifications and Skills:
Current licensure/certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) Experience working in school settings preferred Knowledge of child speech, language, and communication disorders Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills Reliable, adaptable, and able to work independently and as part of a team
Key Responsibilities:
Implement therapy plans and activities under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist Deliver direct and indirect services to students, following individualized education plans (IEPs) Collect and document data related to student goals and progress Assist with screenings, assessments, and preparation of materials when needed Offer classroom support and collaborate with teachers and school staff regarding students' communication needs Maintain a positive, encouraging therapeutic environment Benefits of this
