Welding Lab Assistant

Welding Lab Assistant Provides technical assistance to students either in a classroom or laboratory setting and assists with teaching students according to established policies and procedures under the supervision of the welding instructor. The rate for this position is $20.00 per hour.

Responsibilities:

60% Provides group instruction and one-on-one tutoring; communicates and explains familiar and new concepts to students with diverse backgrounds and varying levels of welding skills. 35% Assists students in the use of equipment. 5% Keeps the lab clean and organized.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required. One year work experience as a welder or welding degree/certificate required. Previous experience as a teacher or lab assistant is preferred. This position is considered a security sensitive position and will require a criminal background check.
