Job Description
Bachelor's degree from an ASHA-accredited university, active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license and minimum 1+ years speech-language pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) role is available for the 2026-2027 school year in Devine, TX, supporting students from kindergarten through 12th grade. This contract position offers approximately 30 hours per week over 4 to 5 days, allowing for meaningful contributions to the communication development of school-aged children.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist certified speech-language pathologists in delivering therapy services to K-12 students. Implement individualized treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed speech-language pathologist. Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation. Collaborate with educators and other school professionals to support student communication needs. Participate in team meetings and contribute to student-focused discussions.
Qualifications:
Required credentials and certifications appropriate for a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant working within a school setting. Strong knowledge of speech-language development and therapy techniques for school-aged children. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to adapt to varied student needs and maintain a supportive learning environment. Experience in a school setting preferred but not required.
