Job Description

Bachelor's degree from an ASHA-accredited university, active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license and minimum 1+ years speech-language pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Seeking an enthusiastic Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support elementary students during the 2026-2027 school year. This contract opportunity offers a chance to make a real difference in young learners' lives by helping them improve their communication skills in a school-based setting. The assignment starts August 27, 2026, and runs through May 27, 2027, offering a consistent weekday schedule of 37.5 hours per week. You will collaborate with a dedicated speech team to assist with a manageable caseload of 101 elementary students, providing direct intervention and support tailored to each child's needs.
Qualifications:
Active Texas SLPA license required Prior school-based SLPA experience preferred, but new graduates are welcome Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team Passion for helping elementary-aged children develop essential speech and language abilities
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver speech and language interventions under the supervision of a licensed SLP Implement individualized plans and monitor student progress Document student performance and maintain accurate records Communicate regularly with teachers and support staff to reinforce strategies Help create a positive, supportive environment for all students This position features a pay range of $35-$40 per hour, paid on a weekly basis.
