Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Discover an exciting contract opportunity for a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) currently available near Fort Hood, TX! Whether you're looking for full-time or part-time hours, this role offers the flexibility to accommodate your schedule and allows you to make a meaningful impact in a school environment. The successful candidate must hold an active Texas state license by the start date. This position is with a district that has a longstanding partnership with Soliant, ensuring ongoing support and a collaborative work atmosphere. Caseload details, including age preferences, can be discussed during the interview process and your preferences will be thoughtfully considered.
Key Qualifications:
Active SLPA license issued by the state of Texas (or eligibility to obtain by start date) Previous experience in a school setting is highly valued, but not required Excellent communication skills and collaborative mindset Commitment to supporting students' communication needs Organizational skills for managing documentation and therapy materials
Role Responsibilities:
Assist Speech-Language Pathologists in providing therapy services to students Execute individualized education plans (IEPs) under supervision Document and track student progress Support communication intervention through both group and individual sessions Engage with teachers and families as needed to promote student success
