Job Description

Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity as a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) supporting K-12 students in a dynamic school environment. This full-time, contract role offers the chance to make an immediate impact, working closely with educators and licensed SLPs to foster communication growth in students of all ages. Qualifications & Preferred Background:
Valid SLPA licensure as required by state regulations Experience or strong interest in working within K-12 school settings Exceptional communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, staff, students, and families Commitment to delivering high-quality, individualized care and intervention
Primary Responsibilities:
Support SLPs in the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) Provide direct therapy services to students under supervision, addressing a range of speech and language goals Assist with conducting screenings and maintaining accurate therapy records Collaborate with the IEP team and participate in meetings as appropriate Prepare materials and adapt activities to meet diverse student needs Monitor and document student progress, sharing updates with supervising
