Job Description

Bachelor's degree from an ASHA-accredited university, active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license and minimum 1+ years speech-language pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Step into a rewarding role supporting K-12 students as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) with a school-based team near Manor, TX! This contract opportunity begins in August 2026 and runs through May 2027, offering a chance to make a meaningful impact throughout the academic year. As an SLPA, you'll collaborate closely with speech-language pathologists and educational staff to provide direct and indirect services that enhance communication and learning for children from kindergarten through high school.
Qualifications & Credentials:
Active SLPA certification in Texas (SLPA TX) Previous experience working in a school or K-12 setting is highly valued Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills Compassion for supporting students with diverse needs Ability to adapt quickly within a dynamic school environment
Responsibilities:
Assist in delivering speech and language therapy to students under the supervision of a licensed SLP Implement individualized education plan (IEP) goals and document student progress Prepare therapy materials and maintain records in accordance with school and legal requirements Support generalization of communication goals into classroom activities Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other support staff to promote student success
