Job Description

Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity as a full-time Speech-Language Pathology Assistant, supporting K-5th grade students in a dynamic school-based environment for the 2026-2027 academic year. This contract role begins August 3, 2026, and continues through May 28, 2027, offering a structured schedule with 40 hours per week dedicated to making a meaningful impact on young learners' communication development.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
Valid certification or license as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) Previous experience providing services within school or pediatric settings is highly valued Strong collaboration skills and the ability to communicate effectively with students, educators, and caregivers Commitment to supporting individualized educational goals in a classroom environment Adaptability, reliability, and eagerness to work within a team-focused culture
Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
Deliver direct speech and language therapy interventions as outlined by supervising SLPs and students' IEPs Assist with screenings, assessments, and progress documentation for a K-5th grade caseload Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, teachers, and families to support student success Prepare adaptive materials and therapy activities tailored to students' unique needs Document sessions, monitor progress, and contribute to IEP meetings as required
