Job Description

Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Step into a fulfilling school-based contract role supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) for the upcoming academic year! This full-time opportunity offers a consistent schedule, with 37.5 hours each week from August 10 through May 28. The position is open to both monolingual and bilingual candidates, and site placement will be discussed during an in-person interview.
Key Qualifications:
Valid SLPA license/credentials for the state of Texas Experience working with school-aged children preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to collaborate with supervising SLPs and educational teams Organized, detail-oriented, and adaptable to a dynamic school environment
Role Responsibilities:
Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students under supervision of a licensed SLP Support IEP implementation and track student progress through accurate documentation Work one-on-one or in small groups to address speech, language, and communication needs Assist in developing appropriate materials and activities for targeted interventions Communicate student progress and needs with educators and families as directed Participate in team meetings and professional development as requested
