Job Description

Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Step into an exciting opportunity serving K-12 students as a School Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in a dynamic educational environment. This full-time, contract position offers the chance to make a real difference in the lives of children in a supportive school community. You'll collaborate closely with licensed Speech-Language Pathologists and educators, helping students achieve their communication goals and fostering growth across all grade levels.
Key Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Active SLPA credential or licensure in the state (or eligibility) Prior experience in a school setting is highly valued Understanding of speech and language developmental milestones in children and adolescents Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to connect with students, staff, and families Ability to follow therapy plans provided by Speech-Language Pathologists and adapt as needed Excellent organizational and time-management skills to support caseloads across K-12
Primary Responsibilities:
Work under the supervision of a Speech-Language Pathologist to provide speech and language services to students Implement therapy plans and activities designed to improve communication skills Collect and record progress data on student performance Assist in preparing materials and scheduling sessions Communicate regularly with supervising SLP to report progress or concerns Support student IEP goals in accordance with school and district guidelines
