Job Description

Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Make an impact in education as a contract Speech-Language Pathology Assistant for the upcoming school year! This opportunity is designed for those passionate about helping students succeed in and out of the classroom. Based near Alexandria, VA, this assignment will have you collaborating across multiple school locations throughout the district, so adaptability and strong teamwork skills are essential.
Key Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Speech or Communication Disorders required Eligible for a Virginia SLP license (no separate SLPA license recognized in VA) Previous experience in a school setting preferred, but not mandatory Flexibility to travel between assigned campuses within the district Ability to provide your home ZIP code for assignment coordination Strong interpersonal communication and documentation skills
Core Responsibilities:
Support the implementation of speech and language therapy plans under the direction of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist Deliver targeted interventions to students, following established therapy goals Record and track student progress, preparing reports as required Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, teachers, and families to optimize student support Participate in meetings, training, and ongoing professional development Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all school and district policies
Assignment Details:
Contract runs from August 24th, 2026, through June 12th, 2027
Full-time:
