Remedy Speech Therapy | Old Town Alexandria, VA Part-Time | 4-6 Hours Per Week $30-35/hour Are you passionate about helping children communicate and thrive? Remedy Speech Therapy is seeking a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our growing pediatric team. This position is ideal for an SLPA looking for a small number of consistent weekly hours with the opportunity for future growth. Current Virginia Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license required About Remedy Remedy Speech Therapy is a multidisciplinary pediatric clinic located in the heart of Old Town Alexandria. We provide speech therapy, occupational therapy, myofunctional therapy, tutoring, groups, camps, and parent education programs. Our mission is to help children and families feel supported while achieving meaningful progress through evidence-based, child-centered care. Position Details Part-time position 3-5 hours per week to start $30-36 per hour, based on experience Primarily after-school hours or Friday mornings preferred Opportunity for additional hours as caseload grows Direct supervision and mentorship from licensed Speech-Language Pathologists Responsibilities Implement speech and language treatment plans developed by a supervising SLP Conduct individual and small-group therapy sessions Support children with articulation, language, social communication, fluency, and other communication goals Collect and document data during treatment sessions Assist with preparation of therapy materials and activities Collaborate with supervising SLPs regarding patient progress Communicate professionally with families regarding session activities and home practice recommendations Qualifications Current Virginia Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license required Pediatric experience preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Organized, dependable, and enthusiastic about working with children Ability to work independently while following treatment plans established by supervising SLPs What We Offer Flexible scheduling Supportive and collaborative team culture Beautiful clinic space in walkable Old Town Alexandria Access to therapy materials, resources, and mentorship Opportunities for professional growth Ideal Candidate You are energetic, compassionate, and enjoy making therapy engaging and effective for children.
