Job Description

Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Make a positive impact supporting students across multiple campuses in a school-based setting, utilizing your expertise as an SLPA. This contract opportunity covers a 35-hour workweek (Monday through Friday, seven hours daily), ensuring a steady and predictable schedule from August 24, 2026, through June 12, 2027. Qualified candidates with a background in Speech or Communication Disorders will play a key role in enhancing educational experiences for children in the Fairfax, VA region. What you'll need to shine in this role: Bachelor's degree in Speech or Communication Disorders (SLPA license not required in Virginia) Current Virginia SLP certification or license Experience working within school districts or with pediatric populations preferred Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills Enthusiasm for supporting students across multiple school locations Ability to travel between assigned school sites (please include your ZIP code with your application) Key responsibilities include: Delivering speech-language interventions under the guidance of licensed speech-language pathologists Supporting assessments, data collection, and documentation of student progress Collaborating with educators, therapists, and families to support each student's individual plan Assisting with the preparation of materials and resources for speech-language sessions Contributing to a positive and inclusive school environment Enjoy a rewarding contract placement that gives you the chance to see tangible progress in students' communication abilities, while working as an integral part of a dedicated interdisciplinary team.
