Job Description

Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract role supporting students across multiple school locations near Falls Church, VA, as an SLPA with a focus on impactful service and collaboration. This opportunity begins August 24th, 2026, and extends through June 12th, 2027, offering a consistent weekday schedule of 35 hours per week (7 hours per day). Your placement will be shaped by your home ZIP code to better serve both you and the student communities you'll support.
Desired Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Speech or Communication Disorders (required) Current Virginia SLP License (mandatory) Previous experience working in school settings or with children is highly valued Enthusiasm for fostering communication development and student success Effective teamwork and excellent communication abilities
Key Responsibilities:
Provide speech-language support services under the supervision of licensed SLPs across multiple school sites Assist with therapy sessions, documentation, and preparation of instructional materials Support in the implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Monitor student progress and share observations with supervising SLP and staff Collaborate closely with educators, families, and multi-disciplinary teams to encourage optimal student growth This role is perfect for professionals eager to make a visible impact within a variety of school environments, developing strong working relationships and gaining valuable experience across different student populations.
