General Description:
This position performs tasks prescribed, directed, and supervised by ASHA-certified speech-language pathologists and supports clinical services provided by speech-language pathologists.
Essential Responsibilities:
Provides direct speech/language services to students, under direction of assigned speech pathologist. Follows documented therapy plans developed by or in conjunction with the speech/language pathologist. Prepares materials/equipment needed in direct therapy. Documents student progress toward meeting established objectives, reporting progress to assigned speech/language pathologist. Assists the speech/language pathologist during assessment of students. 6. Assists with informal documentation. Conducts speech/language screenings, under direction of assigned speech/language pathologist. Prepares materials for review meetings; collates and prepares student files. Performs related duties as required or assigned
Qualifications:
Associates degree required. Bachelor's degree preferred. Course work in speech/language pathology or equivalent training and experience in the principles and techniques of speech/language pathology. Experience working with children or individuals with disabilities.

Proposed Salary Range:
$38,061 - $95,484
Educational Supplements:
Master's:
+7% of base salary (if bachelor's level) BA + 15: $750 (if bachelor's level)
Doctorate:
$2000

Work Environment/Physical Requirements:
Employees are required to use hands to handle, feel, or reach objects, materials, and/or controls The employee must be able to lift and or move up to 50 pounds Regular contact with students, other staff, parents, medical professionals, and other community members may be required The employee must be able to work within various degrees of noise, temperature, and air quality Job responsibilities may include both inside and outside duties Sitting, standing, and walking may be required for extended periods of time. Bending at the waist, kneeling, or crouching may be needed to perform some duties Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus Hearing and speaking is required for the exchange of information Use of computer or other device screens is necessary This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and fax machines This job may involve moving students from wheelchairs, occasional lifting of up to 70 pounds or the use of a Hoyer lift
