Job Description

Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Empower student success in a dynamic educational environment by supporting communication and language development. This contract opportunity offers Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) professionals the chance to make a real difference across multiple school settings near Manassas, VA. The assignment spans the academic year, running from August 24, 2026, through June 12, 2027, and features a consistent weekday schedule of 35 hours per week (7 hours daily). By engaging with learners of diverse backgrounds, you'll help foster meaningful connections that last far beyond the classroom.
Desired Qualifications:
VA SLP License (required; note: Virginia does not license SLPAs, so a degree in Speech or Communication Disorders is essential) Bachelor's degree or higher in Speech or Communication Disorders Relevant school-based experience as an SLPA or equivalent, preferred Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills Flexibility to travel between multiple school locations within the district
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct speech-language services to students under the supervision of a licensed SLP Support implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) and targeted therapy goals Collaborate with teachers, SLPs, and families to enhance student outcomes Adapt therapy activities to meet diverse student needs Maintain accurate records and documentation as required by district standards
