Job Description

Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Step into an impactful contract opportunity supporting students across multiple schools near Manassas, VA, as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA). In this dynamic setting, you'll work with various educational teams to make a genuine difference in the communication growth and success of young learners throughout the academic year.
Key Qualifications:
Degree in Speech or Communication Disorders is required Hold a current Virginia SLP License (SLPA license not recognized in VA) Experience in school-based settings or with pediatric populations preferred Flexible and collaborative, able to travel between different school locations as assigned Strong organizational and documentation abilities Must provide your ZIP code for school site placement purposes
Role Details & Responsibilities:
Begin on August 24th, 2026, with your assignment concluding on June 12th, 2027 Maintain a consistent schedule of 35 hours weekly (7 hours per school day) Deliver direct and indirect speech-language interventions under the supervision of a licensed SLP Collaborate with educators, therapists, and families to support students' IEP goals Adapt activities and materials to meet diverse communication needs Track student progress and maintain accurate records in accordance with district protocols Participate in team meetings and contribute to holistic student plans As part of a supportive educational environment, you'll have the opportunity to make meaningful contributions while developing your skills alongside expert colleagues.
