School Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) | Norfolk, Virginia Soliant - 3.9 Norfolk, VA Job Details Contract 13 days ago Qualifications SLPA License Bachelor's degree Full Job Description Bachelor's degree from an ASHA-accredited university, active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license and minimum 1+ years speech-language pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Make a meaningful impact supporting students' communication growth as a School-based Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in a contract role near Norfolk, VA. Qualifications:
Current valid SLPA licensure in the state Previous experience working with children in an educational or clinical setting preferred Strong communication and organizational abilities Ability to implement treatment plans designed by Speech-Language Pathologists Adaptability and enthusiasm for collaborative work with multidisciplinary teams
Responsibilities:
Carry out therapy activities as directed by supervising Speech-Language Pathologists to support students' IEP goals Deliver individual and small-group interventions targeting language, articulation, fluency, and social-pragmatic skills Collect and document student progress data for ongoing assessment Assist with preparation and organization of therapy materials Communicate observations and relevant insights to SLP supervisors for ongoing intervention planning Foster a positive and encouraging environment for students to build confidence in communication
