Job Description
Bachelor's degree from an ASHA-accredited university, active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license and minimum 1+ years speech-language pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. This contract opportunity promises full-time hours throughout the school year, supporting students across multiple sites in the greater Norfolk and Virginia Beach area. You'll collaborate closely with Speech Language Pathologists and educational teams to deliver high-quality support in diverse school communities. What we're seeking: Valid Virginia SLPA license Previous experience working with K-12 students (preferred) Strong communication and teamwork skills Familiarity with school-based therapy and documentation processes Ability to travel to multiple assigned schools within Chesapeake, Isle of Wight County, Norfolk, Portsmouth, Southampton County, Suffolk, and Virginia Beach Positive, flexible attitude and a commitment to student growth Your responsibilities will include: Providing direct therapy services to students under the supervision of a Speech Language Pathologist Assisting with screenings, assessments, and data collection as needed Supporting development and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) Collaborating with educators, families, and team members to ensure best outcomes Maintaining accurate documentation and progress reports Adapting to meet the diverse needs and schedules of assigned school sites Participating in ongoing professional development and staff meetings You will thrive in this role if you embrace flexibility, enjoy a varied caseload, and are excited about positively influencing students in several communities.
