Job Description

Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Eager to work in a vibrant educational setting and support students' communication growth? This contract opportunity allows experienced Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPA) to make a meaningful impact across multiple school locations in Prince William County. Bring your expertise to a dynamic team serving diverse student populations and collaborate closely with licensed SLPs and educators.
Key Qualifications:
Degree in Speech or Communication Disorders is essential Current Virginia SLP license required (SLPA-specific licensure is not available in VA) Previous school-based or pediatric experience preferred Excellent communication skills and a proactive, flexible approach Must provide current zip code with application as assignments are based on location
Your Responsibilities:
Deliver direct speech-language support to students under supervision of a licensed SLP Document student progress, maintain records, and assist with developing treatment materials Participate in team meetings to coordinate care and share insights Support IEP implementation through group and individual sessions Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other specialists to drive student success Adjust interventions based on supervision, student data, and team input
Schedule & Assignment Details:
Contract runs from August 24th, 2026 through June 12th, 2027 35 hours per week; standard schedule is 7 hours per day Assignments will be at multiple schools within Prince William County; flexibility to work across sites as needed This role provides an opportunity to grow your skill set, network with dedicated professionals, and help create lasting positive change for students.
