School Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) | Auburn, Washington Sunbelt Staffing - 3.8 Auburn, WA Job Details Contract $25 - $48 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Associate's degree Full Job Description Bachelor's degree from an ASHA-accredited university, active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license and minimum 1+ years speech-language pathology experience required. As a School Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA), you'll collaborate closely with certified speech-language pathologists to help students reach their full potential. Key Qualifications:
Associate's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assisting or equivalent Active SLPA licensure (or eligibility) for the state Previous experience supporting speech-language services in a school environment is highly beneficial Strong communication and organizational skills Demonstrates understanding of child development and educational settings Ability to follow therapy plans created by supervising
SLPs Primary Responsibilities:
Provide direct speech-language therapy services to students as outlined in individualized education plans (IEPs) Support the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist in conducting screenings, therapy sessions, and documentation Prepare and organize therapy materials and activities Collect data on student progress and maintain accurate records Participate in team meetings, communicating student progress and collaborating with educators and families as needed Assist in maintaining a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment This flexible contract role is an excellent opportunity to grow as a professional while making a real difference in the day-to-day lives of students.
