Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity for the 2026-2027 school year, working full-time with students from preschool through 6th grade near Eltopia, WA. This role is ideal for a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) seeking variety and the chance to support language development in both English and Spanish. Key Qualifications:
Current SLPA license or registration, meeting state and national requirements Previous experience in school or healthcare settings as an SLPA preferred Bilingual (Spanish/English) communication skills required Comfortable working with children ages 3-12 in diverse classroom settings Strong organizational, communication, and documentation abilities Ability to collaborate effectively with supervising speech-language pathologists, teachers, and families
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide direct speech and language interventions to students under the guidance of a supervising SLP Support classroom teachers and staff in integrating communication goals across learning environments Offer bilingual (Spanish/English) support to students and families Document student progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in data collection Adapt therapy approaches to meet the changing needs of students from preschool through 6th grade Participate in team meetings and reflect the values of inclusivity and cultural competence
