Job Description

Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Exciting opportunity available for a dedicated and passionate Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support students during the 2026-2027 school year. This is a full-time contract position, spanning from September 2, 2026, to June 11, 2027, with the schedule set at 32 hours per week. The role entails working with a diverse K-12 caseload, providing services in a dynamic and collaborative educational environment. Those licensed as Speech-Language Pathology Assistants in Washington are invited to apply, and both local and travel candidates will be considered. Requirements:
Valid Washington SLPA license (or the eligibility and willingness to obtain one prior to start date) Experience serving school-aged children (K-12), ideally in an educational setting Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with educators, families, and supervising SLPs Ability to adapt to changing needs with flexibility and positivity Commitment to supporting student progress and success
Responsibilities:
Deliver direct therapy and support services as directed by supervising SLP Implement IEP goals and document student progress Collaborate with teachers, families, and school staff to best support each student's speech and language development Maintain accurate records and prepare necessary reports Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities This contract role provides a chance to work with a supportive staff, contribute to a positive school culture, and help students overcome communication challenges.
