Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding role supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant in a dynamic educational setting. This full-time contract opportunity spans the entire 2026-2027 academic year, running from September through June, and involves providing essential speech and language support to K-12 students. This position is ideal for professionals eager to make a meaningful impact within a school environment and collaborate with experienced SLPs and educational staff.
Qualifications:
Valid Washington State SLPA license (or willingness to obtain) Previous experience working in a school setting as an SLPA is preferred Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills Ability to support a diverse K-12 caseload Adaptability to varied student needs and enthusiasm for creative, student-centered care Open to considering travel professionals ready to relocate for this assignment
Responsibilities:
Assist in delivering direct and indirect speech-language therapy services under SLP supervision Conduct screenings and provide support for assessments Document student progress and maintain accurate records Collaborate with teachers, families, and other support staff to ensure holistic support Prepare and adapt therapy materials and activities suitable for various age groups and skill levels
