Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting schools as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA). This role empowers you to make a significant impact in students' communication and learning journeys, all while collaborating within a dedicated educational team.
Key Qualifications:
Valid Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license or certification. Experience working with school-aged children in educational or clinical settings. Familiarity with individualized education plans (IEPs) and implementing therapeutic interventions under supervision. Strong verbal and written communication skills to document session outcomes and connect with diverse student populations. Ability to be flexible and responsive to varying caseloads and school environments. Excellent organizational skills and a collaborative spirit—teamwork ensures optimal student progress.
Core Responsibilities:
Provide direct therapy services to students as guided by a licensed speech-language pathologist, targeting speech, language, voice, and fluency. Support in the assessment and reporting process, including effective progress documentation. Assist in developing and preparing materials to facilitate student engagement and therapy session goals. Collaborate frequently with educators, parents, and other support staff to foster student success. Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards in all interactions and documentation. Participate in ongoing training and team meetings as scheduled by the school or supervisory SLP.
