This full-time contract position is perfect for a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) who thrives working with preschool through 6th grade students and is passionate about helping diverse learners succeed. Fluency in Spanish and a background serving young children enhances your ability to connect with families and students, enriching their educational experience.
Qualifications & Experience:
Active SLPA license and credentials, or eligibility to obtain for the 26-27 school year Bilingual in Spanish and English to effectively communicate with a diverse student and family population Prior experience delivering speech therapy services to children in a school or healthcare setting Understanding of IEP documentation and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational abilities
Key Responsibilities:
Provide speech and language therapy services to students from preschool through 6th grade, supporting their individual goals and needs Collaborate closely with Speech-Language Pathologists, teachers, and support staff to deliver high-quality care Assist in preparing materials, implementing treatment plans, and tracking student progress Maintain accurate records and contribute to student reports as needed Serve as a cultural and linguistic resource for Spanish-speaking students and families Participate in ongoing professional development relevant to school-based practice In this role, you'll build valuable relationships, gain experience across a variety of age groups, and play a crucial role in supporting academic and social success.
