Job Description

Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding role supporting students' communication growth during the 2026-2027 school year as a full-time Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA). This contract position runs from September 2, 2026 through June 11, 2027, offering the opportunity to impact K-12 learners in a dynamic school environment. In this role, you'll collaborate closely with speech-language pathologists and educators to deliver effective, supportive language and speech services to students at all grade levels.
Qualifications & Skills:
Valid Washington State SLPA license (or willingness to obtain) Previous experience in a school setting serving K-12 students preferred Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational abilities Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive learning atmosphere Travel candidates are encouraged to apply
What You'll Do:
Assist the speech-language pathologist in implementing therapy plans and conducting interventions Work directly with students to support speech, language, and communication goals Document student progress and maintain accurate and confidential records Provide support within general and special education classrooms as needed Engage in team collaboration with educators, staff, and families to meet student needs This full-time, contract assignment is structured for 32 hours per week, providing consistent engagement with diverse student populations.
