Summary of Job Duties:

This posting will fill multiple positions. The Sterile Processing Technician is a vital part of our team at the Orthopaedic and Spine Hospital (TOSH) to provide the absolute best outcomes for our patients. This position decontaminates (disassembles, cleans by hand and/or machine) medical instruments & materials in the Sterile Processing Department. This is a position that has a lot of growth opportunities within the department and the healthcare profession.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED Ability to follow oral instructions, read, and write Computer literacy in Word/Excel Good communication skills

Preferred Experience:

Two (2) years of SPD leadership experience preferred or Surgical Technical experience

Professional License/Certification:

IAHCSMM/CBSPD

Certified

CRCST/CIS

Sterile Processing Experience

Decontaminate (disassemble, clean by hand and/or machine) medical instruments/materials. Assemble and package, inspect and test instruments, reassemble sets, place sets in proper containers and/or wrapping, and load/transport loaded carts with prepared sets.
