Sterile Processing Technician - PRN Mission Surgery Center Fremont, CA Job Details Part-time | PRN $50 - $60 an hour 15 hours ago Qualifications CRCST Teamwork CSPDT Attention to detail Hospital experience Full Job Description About Mission Surgery Center Mission Surgery Center is a modern ambulatory surgery center in Fremont specializing in pain management, spine procedures, and orthopedic arthroscopy. We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Sterile Processing Technician to support our operating rooms and procedure rooms by ensuring that instruments, trays, and equipment are properly cleaned, sterilized, assembled, and ready for use. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a specialized surgical environment and takes pride in maintaining high standards of safety, organization, and efficiency. Responsibilities Decontaminate, inspect, assemble, wrap, sterilize, and distribute surgical instruments and trays Process and maintain instruments used for pain management, spine procedures, and orthopedic arthroscopy Prepare procedure-specific trays accurately and ensure instruments are available for scheduled cases Operate sterilization equipment and maintain sterilization logs, biological testing records, and required documentation Follow infection-control protocols, manufacturer instructions, and facility policies Inspect instruments for cleanliness, damage, and proper function Track inventory and communicate supply or replacement needs to clinical staff Support fast and accurate room turnover between cases Maintain a clean, organized sterile processing area Coordinate closely with nurses, surgical technicians, and operating room staff Preferred Qualifications Previous sterile processing experience in a hospital, ambulatory surgery center, or procedural setting Familiarity with steam sterilization, decontamination, wrapping, instrument inspection, and tray assembly Experience processing orthopedic arthroscopy instruments or pain management equipment is strongly preferred Knowledge of arthroscopy equipment, scopes, cameras, cannulas, hand instruments, and related accessories is a plus CRCST, CSPDT, or similar sterile processing certification preferred Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Reliable, organized, and comfortable working independently when needed Why Join Mission Surgery Center?
