Job Description

This is a benefited, full-time position (80 hours per pay period) working varied 10-hour evening shifts from 1:45 PM to 12:30 AM, including two weekends per month. What you'll do: Responsible for the cleaning, packaging, sterilization, storage, and distribution of medical instruments, equipment, and supplies used in procedures for patient care. Cleans and disinfects equipment requiring decontamination or sterilization according to designated principles of asepsis. Responds to immediate requests for sterilization or delivery of sterilized instruments to insure there is no patient exposure to bioburden. Responsible for testing and recording of sterilizer equipment performance to ensure operating within sterility standards. Maintains established control systems for supplies and equipment processed.
