Direct and indirect care of patients. Operate equipment used in processing instrumentation, such as the Steris Assists with maintenance, care of instruments, supplies and equipment according to the manufacturers' instructions, standards of infection prevention, and institutional policies/procedures. Disinfect, clean and prepare for sterilization of any instruments, equipment, and/or endoscopic supply utilized at the Surgery Center Prepare and arrange instrumentation, equipment and supplies as appropriate for the assigned case according to the Center's policy and the physician's preference. Assist with tissue/specimen collection. Handle specimens appropriately, according to the Center policy and procedure. Assist with inventory control and stocking of supplies. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements
- Demonstrate appropriate sterile and aseptic technique.
- Ability to perform endoscopy technician functions according to recommended Practices and Center Policy and Procedures.
- Ability to follow facility policy for high-level disinfection and documentation requirements.
- Ability to prioritize and have excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Acknowledges physiologic needs for the patient (size of equipment, maintenance of body temperature and patient safety. Pay based on experience
- Full Time- 40 hours a week w/benefits
- Part Time- 2-3 times per week (avg 16-24 hours a week)
