Job Summary Under general guidance, the Manager, Sterile Processing is responsible for the operations and services which include decontamination and sterile processing of reusable instruments and equipment in collaboration with Surgical Services and patient care areas. The Manager will ensure the department meets or exceeds the regulatory requirements and that the department be maintained in a cost-effective manner. Establish policies and procedures related to decontamination and sterilization. Serve as a positive role model to facilitate and improve department performance and activities, demonstrating effective communication skills with peers, leads, staff, department managers and guests, to create an efficient workflow and team atmosphere. Pay Range Minimum $90,563 Midpoint $120,016 Maximum $149,427 Rate of pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, education, as well as position requirements. Experience
    Required:
    Minimum five (5) years of Sterile Processing experience in a Senior and/or Lead Tech capacity. Understanding of Title 22 and CDPH regulations for in-hospital sterilization regulations, quality control, and biological monitoring.
      Preferred:
      Five years of Sterile Processing or Central Supply Management experience; Operating Room experience; Surgical Technologist experience. Education
        Required:
        High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
          Preferred:
          Associate degree in Surgical Technology; Graduate of two-year accredited specialty program in surgical technology. Special Skills
            Required:
            Knowledge in infection control, decontamination, disinfection, instrument assembly and packaging, high-level sterilization, biological testing, and inventory management and distribution required. Ability to communicate effectively in English. Ability to use computer-based programs. Ability to work routinely without direct supervision. Ability to demonstrate good judgment in daily activities. Ability to understand and implement infection control and hospital safety practices. Licensure
              Required:
              Certified Sterile Processing & Distribution Technician (CSPDT); Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST).
                Preferred:
                CA Registered Nurse (RN) license. Work Environments
