- 30/hour Position Overview The Sterile Processing Technician (SPT) is responsible for the decontamination, inspection, assembly, sterilization, and distribution of surgical instruments and medical equipment.
This role ensures compliance with infection prevention standards, manufacturer instructions, and departmental policies while supporting safe patient care. Required Qualifications High School Diploma or Equivalent Sterile Processing Technician Certification ( CRCST, CIS, or equivalent ) Minimum 1 year of Sterile Processing experience Required Skills Instrument Decontamination and Sterilization Surgical Instrument Identification and Assembly Infection Prevention and Control Instrument Inspection and Quality Assurance Autoclave and Sterilizer Operation Inventory Management Instrument Tracking Systems Documentation and Record Maintenance Computer Proficiency Knowledge Requirements
