Torrance, CA Job Details Part-time $37.04 - $45.02 an hour 19 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance Life insurance Qualifications Medical scheduling Medical administrative support Student support Adaptability Adult education Full Job Description The Sterile Processing Distribution Technician Instructor will play a crucial role in preparing high school and adult students for careers in Sterile Processing Distribution for in-patient and out-patient facilities, including hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers, clinics, dental offices, and outpatient care centers. This comprehensive course covers the responsibilities of sterile processing of medical instruments and tools, stocking surgical departments, supplying necessary equipment for complex surgeries, and ensuring the availability of essential supplies within operating areas. Instruction will include students learning regarding the identification and prevention of contagious infections and diseases in healthcare facilities, with emphasizes on the use of Personal Protective Equipment. Students will learn about their role and responsibilities in assisting with direct patient care. Key Responsibilities Monitor Externship program in a healthcare facility Perform the primary role of a leader of learning as assigned. Assist in integrating industry and academic standards within curriculum development. Provide group and individual instruction utilizing the most effective teaching strategies. Assist in recruitment and prepare students for employment or advancement. Evaluate student skill competencies and job readiness and maintain accurate student attendance records. Manage classroom in such a manner as to ensure an environment conducive to learning. Complete and deliver written records and reports as required. Participate actively in subject matter advisory committee. Keep abreast of current practices and training methods. Ability to relate to high-school-age-students and adults. Perform other job-related duties as required. Qualifications Must have a Designated Subjects Vocational Education Teaching, Designated Subjects Career Technical Education (DS CTE) Teaching credential, or be eligible to obtain a Designated Subjects Career Technical Education Teaching Credential in the appropriate subject matter area (this requires a minimum of three (3) years of full-time recent work experience and or a combination of recent work experience and education) and possess a current license/certificate, as applicable, in the State of California. Application processing assistance to obtain a Designated Subjects Career Technical Education Teaching Credential provided for a qualified eligible applicant not holding an appropriate credential . Candidate to have verifiable Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Health Sciences, Medical Technology, Biotechnology) preferred. Professional experience in Sterile Processing Distribution or a related healthcare field. Knowledge of workplace safety, health and safety laws, and ethical practices. Ability to develop and organize original course curriculum, lesson plans, and instructional materials independently preferred, as program curriculum resources are actively being developed. How to

Salary Range:
