Job Summary The Corporate Manager, Sterile Processing Department -SPD Operations reports to the Administrative Director of Perioperative Services. Under limited supervision, the Corporate Manager, is responsible for providing leadership of the Sterile Processing Department(s) and all facets of sterile processing and functions to include support of ancillary areas, labor and delivery, outpatient clinic areas, Ambulatory Surgery Facilities (ASFs). This role oversees departmental operations and productivity, inclusive of work flow design and optimization and is responsible for quality outcomes and patient safety as it relates to the cleaning, sterilization and High Level Disinfection (HLD) of surgical instruments, scopes and equipment processed through the department. This position evaluates, maintains, and improves quality control systems, ensures regulatory compliance and standards is maintained (Joint Commission, DHEC, AAMI, IAHCSMM, etc.), while developing a cohesive team, mentoring supervisory staff, and ensuring technical competency across all position levels. This role is responsible for the development and adherence to the budget and partners with stakeholders at all locations to ensure customer and patient satisfaction while upholding the quality standards of a high performing organization. Minimum Education Requirement :
Extensive knowledge of standard procedures and methods used to decontaminate, clean, inspect, assemble, package, sterilize, store and distribute items and instrumentation/ scopes within applicable federal, state and other regulatory agencies. Extensive knowledge of sterilization/High Level Disinfection (HLD) equipment is required (autoclaves, gas sterilization, HLD, Sterrad Plasma, washer sterilizers, Medivator,etc.). b.
Minimum Experience Requirement :
Minimum of 8-10 years of SPD and/or combined OR/Procedural experience with at least 5 years of management experience required. Experience working within a large medical center and off-site sterile processing department is preferred. c.
Minimum License Requirement :
Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) required and Certification in Healthcare Leadership (CHL) required within 1 year of hire/transfer. Delivering world-class health care one patient at a time.
Pay Range:
