Job Description:

Selects appropriate materials and sterilization packaging for each instrument set, ensuring proper wrapping for aseptic technique. Ensures sterility indicators and lot stickers are present on all instrument sets and packages. Operates complex sterilization equipment, selecting the correct method of sterilization based on manufacturer instructions. Reviews and signs all sterilizer recording charts to verify proper sterilization parameters before releasing items for clinical use. Monitors sterilizer printouts, maintains records, and documents all requirements in appropriate log books or computer systems.

• Ability to communicate by reading, writing legibly, speaking and comprehending English effectively in order to carry out job requirements.

Education:

• High School Grad or Equiv [Required]
• Technical/Vocational School [Preferred]

Field of Study:

• in healthcare sterile processing

Work Experience:

• 1+ related experience [Preferred]

Additional Information:

N/A Licenses and Certifications:

• Certified Registered Central Service Tech (CRCST) [Required] OR
• Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT) [Required]
• Basic Life Support
• CPR Cert (BLS) [Preferred]
