Position Summary:
The Sterile Processing Technician (SPT) is responsible for the decontamination, inspection, assembly, sterilization, and distribution of surgical instruments and medical equipment. This role ensures all instruments are properly cleaned, sterilized, and maintained according to infection control standards and facility protocols.Job Duties:
Perform decontamination, cleaning, and disinfection of surgical instruments and medical equipment. Inspect instruments for cleanliness, functionality, and defects; remove damaged items from circulation. Assemble, wrap, and package instrument trays and sets according to established guidelinesNote:
