Responsibilities Operate sterilization equipment such as autoclaves and sterilizers to thoroughly disinfect surgical tools and dental instruments. Inspect instruments for cleanliness, functionality, and integrity, ensuring they meet strict sterilization standards Manage inventory of sterilized supplies, accurately tracking and documenting all processed items Follow established aseptic techniques and infection control protocols to prevent contamination during processing Maintain detailed records of sterilization cycles, equipment maintenance, and quality assurance checks Collaborate with dental staff to prioritize instrument reprocessing based on surgical schedules and urgent needs Adhere to office policies, safety guidelines, and regulatory requirements related to sterile processing Requirements Ability to follow detailed instructions precisely while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment Basic understanding of aseptic technique principles to prevent contamination during processing Embark on a rewarding career where your skills directly contribute to patient safety and successful surgical outcomes.
