This position is per diem, day shift, non-exempt and benefits eligible. The pay range for this position is $19.56/hour
  • $29.
35/hour. Compensation is based on years of experience and departmental equity. The Sterile Processing Technician I is responsible for processing sterile supplies and instruments for use during operative procedures. Selects appropriate sterilization/disinfection technique for items. Maintains sterilization and environment quality controls. Decontaminates, processes, stores sterile instrumentation, hardware, and equipment for intraoperative use, using infection control procedures. Works collaboratively with operating room personnel to assist with all perioperative phases including but not limited to case turnovers. Is responsible for maintaining and monitoring accurate records of maintenance on sterilization equipment, power equipment and surgical instrumentation. Manages surgical inventory and performs other routine tasks, as assigned. Education High School diploma or GED required Certification/Licensure Sterile Processing Technician certification (CSPDT)
  • Preferred. Skills 1 year experience
  • Required. 2 years experience in Central Supply, Sterile Processing or Surgical Instrumentation Room
  • Preferred.
Previous exposure to orthopedic instruments desirable.
