Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Certified Sterile Processing Technician - I to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper sterilization, decontamination, and preparation of surgical instruments and medical equipment. Your expertise will help maintain a safe and sterile environment, supporting patient care and surgical procedures. Responsibilities Perform cleaning, disinfecting, sterilizing, and assembling surgical instruments and medical devices according to established protocols Manage inventory levels of sterile supplies and ensure proper storage and labeling of sterilized items Follow strict aseptic techniques to prevent contamination during processing and handling of equipment Maintain accurate documentation of sterilization cycles, instrument tracking, and equipment maintenance logs Conduct routine inspections of sterilization equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any malfunctions promptly Collaborate with surgical teams to verify instrument readiness and address any special processing requirements based on physiology or anatomy considerations Adhere to all safety standards, infection control policies, and hospital regulations to uphold a sterile environment at all times Skills Strong knowledge of sterile processing procedures and aseptic techniques Familiarity with inventory management systems for tracking supplies and equipment Understanding of medical terminology relevant to surgical instruments and procedures Basic physiology and anatomy knowledge to ensure proper handling of specialized instruments Ability to follow detailed instructions accurately and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Excellent attention to detail for quality assurance and compliance purposes Good communication skills to coordinate effectively with surgical staff and team members Join us in making a meaningful difference by ensuring the highest standards of safety, cleanliness, and efficiency in healthcare environments.
