Make a Difference The Manager of Instrument Processing will oversee sterilized processing at our new Westfield Hospital, a state-of-the-art facility. This is a unique opportunity to build a sterile processing team from the ground up. This role is responsible for the oversight of the processes within the Sterile Processing Department including all steps required for reprocessing surgical instruments along with strategic planning and maintenance of capital-related items. This role partners closely with Surgical Services, physicians, and interdepartmental teams to support uninterrupted surgical operations, quality outcomes, and a high-performing, engaged team. What You'll Do Lead day-to-day and 24/7 operations of the Sterile Processing Department Ensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and industry best practices Oversee all instrument reprocessing, documentation, and tracking processes Manage inventory, equipment maintenance, and capital assets Collaborate with OR leadership and providers to support surgical schedules and new service lines Develop, implement, and maintain Sterile Processing Department policies, procedures, and quality improvement initiatives Recruit, develop, coach, and engage team members; build a culture of accountability, inclusion, and continuous improvement Serve as the Sterile Processing Department subject matter expert and liaison to surgical and organizational leadership Exceptional Skills and Qualifications High School Diploma or GED is required. Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) is required. Five (5) or more years of sterile processing experience is required. Three (3) or more years of leadership/management experience is required. Expert knowledge of sterile processing standards, instrumentation, and equipment Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills Ability to analyze data and drive process improvement Proven ability to lead, coach, and motivate high-performing teams Detail-oriented with strong organizational and decision-making skills Ability to model servant leadership and PRIIDE values Proficient with technology and Microsoft Office tools Why Community?
