Job Information Exemption Status:
Non-Exempt A Brief Overview The Sterile Processing Technician, is a health care professional who will be responsible for preparing, assembling, cleaning and sterilizing all instrumentation and some equipment used in medical exams, surgeries and other clinical procedures. They will ensure strict adherence to sterilization processes and assure that instruments, equipment, and supplies are safe for reuse across patient care. The Sterile Processing Technician must demonstrate the ability to perform at a high level of skill all functions as described below. Experience Qualifications Experience in a acute care hospital setting. Preferred Experience in surgery environment. Preferred Sterile processing experience. Preferred Licenses and Certifications Certified Registered Central Service Technician- HSPA Preferred What you will do Demonstrates proper knowledge and understanding of all chemicals, detergents, and other cleaning and/or disinfecting agents used in the department.
