Sterile Processing Technician (SPT)•13-

Shift:
Rotating days | Rotating start times (3:00 PM•11:00 PM)
Weekends/Holidays:
Rotating Travel Criteria:
Must reside 50+ miles from the facility to qualify as a travel candidate
Compensation Weekly Pay Range:
$1,280•$1,480 Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented Sterile Processing Technician (SPT) to support a busy surgical services department at a well-established healthcare facility in Hyannis, Massachusetts . This role is critical in ensuring patient safety by maintaining the highest standards of instrument decontamination, sterilization, and inventory management. Key Responsibilities Decontamination Identify and apply appropriate methods and solutions for decontaminating instruments and clinical equipment Sort, disassemble, decontaminate, rinse, and disinfect instruments Follow proper PPE guidelines at all times Instrument Preparation Assemble instrument sets accurately using count sheets Inspect instruments for cleanliness and functionality Properly wrap, containerize, peel-pack, and label instrumentation Storage & Distribution Store and handle sterile supplies and equipment correctly Access and follow physician preference cards Retrieve, distribute, and track surgical supplies in a timely manner Sterilization Process Select appropriate sterilization methods Adhere to correct sterilization practices Document and verify sterilization loads and biological testing results Equipment Operation Operate SPD equipment including steam, ETO, Sterrad, and Steris I sterilizers Use cart washers, washer/disinfectors, ultrasonic cleaners, heat sealers, and testing devices Inventory Control Order, receive, stock, and monitor surgical supply usage Communicate supply issues promptly to appropriate personnel ✅ Requirements Minimum 2 years of recent Sterile Processing experience CRCST•Certified Registered Central Service Technician (HSPA) BLS (AHA) certification Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment For more details reach at Aditi.sharma@navitashealth.com or Call / Text at 516-587-6677 .
