Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Sterile Processing Technician (Allied) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for cleaning, disinfecting, sterilizing, storing, and distributing medical supplies and equipment used in patient care.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Clean, disinfect, and sterilize medical instruments and equipment. 2. Assemble instrument trays and surgical packs according to established procedures. 3. Inspect, test, and maintain sterilization equipment. 4. Maintain accurate records of sterilization processes. 5. Assist with inventory control and ordering of medical supplies. 6. Adhere to infection control and safety protocols. 7. Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of sterile instruments. 8. Assist with training and mentoring new staff members.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. High school diploma or equivalent. 2. Certification as a Sterile Processing Technician (CSPDT) or Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) preferred. 3. Prior experience in sterile processing or healthcare setting preferred. 4. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions. 5. Knowledge of infection control procedures and sterilization techniques. 6. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks. 7.
