  • We are seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Sterile Processing Tech I to join our healthcare team.
In this role, you will be responsible for the decontamination, sterilization, and preparation of surgical instruments and equipment to ensure patient safety and support efficient clinical operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and infection control in a fast-paced environment.
  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Clean, disinfect, and sterilize surgical instruments and medical equipment according to established protocols.
Inspect instruments for damage and functionality before and after sterilization. Assemble instrument trays and sets required for surgical procedures. Maintain accurate records of sterilization processes and equipment maintenance. Adhere to infection control and safety standards to prevent contamination. Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure timely availability of sterile supplies.
  • Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in sterile processing or a related healthcare environment is preferred but not required. Ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain strict adherence to protocols. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Work Experience High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) is required. A minimum of 6 months of experience in Central Sterile Processing with experience in decontamination, assembly, sterilization and sterile storage. If previous experience only involved work in one area such as decontamination, the incumbent will be placed in a trainee position until training with related competencies are completed. Certification preferred.
