In this vital role, you will be responsible for the proper cleaning, sterilization, and preparation of surgical instruments and medical equipment to ensure patient safety and compliance with health standards. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to quality, accuracy, and efficiency, supporting our mission to provide exceptional patient care through meticulous instrument management. This position offers an opportunity to contribute significantly to the safety and effectiveness of surgical procedures. Duties Receive, inspect, and sort used surgical instruments and equipment for processing. Clean, disinfect, and sterilize instruments using approved methods and equipment. Assemble and package sterilized instruments according to established protocols. Maintain detailed records of sterilization cycles, instrument tracking, and quality checks. Ensure compliance with infection control standards and safety regulations at all times. Perform routine maintenance and calibration of sterilization equipment. Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and ordering supplies as needed. Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure timely availability of sterile instruments. Follow strict protocols for handling contaminated instruments to prevent cross-contamination. Participate in ongoing training to stay current with industry best practices and regulatory updates.
MUST HAVE
Two years of Sterile Processing Experience required [
REQUIRED
] Certification on hire or within 6 months of hire required Must have a current BCLS certification.
